You're better off setting up a VPN and then allowing ONLY internal LAN access to computers.
#IS TEAMVIEWER SAFE FULL#
You really shouldn't be using full access programs like Teamviewer without some sort of password manager that's capable of generating strong random passwords. With account access, you can setup a strong password (highly recommended), as well as 2FA (highly recommended). My takeaway from this is that in order to restrict access to only your account, turn on Easy Access but also disable the random password. In Teamviewer's own words: This method can be classified as very secure because the access is only possible via a TeamViewer account.

However, per the Teamviewer Manual, if you disable the random password (default is 4 digits), which I highly recommend, then Easy Access means your account and only your account can access the computer. This feature on its own makes Teamviewer less secure. Easy Access grants your account access to its computers without a further password. The past few months I've been revamping my IT setup, so I had a chance to look more into Easy Access. After reviewing this thread which has been locked for commenting and probably out of date, it looks like the OP, /u/chubbysumo and I got into some disputes into how Easy Access works.
